Track / Explained is an editorial, static website. We do not require an account and we do not operate first-party advertising or behavioral profiling.
Information handled when you visit
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Its handling is described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
YouTube players
Explainer pages contain embedded YouTube players. Loading or using a player connects your browser to Google/YouTube, which may receive device identifiers, IP address, page and playback interactions, cookies, and account information if you are signed in. Google controls that processing under the Google Privacy Policy and explains data from sites using Google services in its partner-sites notice. You can avoid this interaction by not starting an explainer page or embedded player.
Local recommendations
Related tracks and artists are selected in your browser from the public site catalog. We do not use a personal profile to make those selections.
If you email us, we receive the address and content you send, plus ordinary email metadata. We use it to answer the request, handle rights or editorial issues, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
Your choices and rights
Your browser can limit or clear cookies and site data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information. Contact contact@track-explained.com. We do not sell personal information.
